Stephanie & Sean

Stephanie and Sean have been together since Junior High school.  They always knew that they were meant to be together. Through all the stages of life, they have been together, hand-in-hand, growing and learning together.  Now, after 7 years of marriage, they have two beautiful children, who, if I may say so, are the spitting image of their daddy!

Of course, I have a special place in my heart for Stephanie.  Out of the 36 cousins, she is closest to me in age being only one month younger than me.  Growing up, we were often compared and the fact that we liked to do everything the same didn’t help differentiate us!  We had the same Smurfs purse, the same high-top tennis shoes (with all of the colored shoe-strings) and as we got older, we both played basketball and worked hard in school.  I adored Stephanie growing up, and secretly strived to be as great as she was.  Seeing her now, as a mom and a wife, I adore her still.

Okay, I’m giving in – I’m going to join the MySpace fad!  ;)    This has proven to be a great networking tool and it seems all my friends are on there, so why not add to my list of emails!  I’m still learning how to format it, but I’m working on it.  If you have a MySpace account, come by to say hi!  http://www.myspace.com/tanahuffmanphoto

Tiffany and Blake

Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 3:17 pm | In Photo sessions | 2 Comments

He proposed in the most romantic way.  He created a hand-made scrapbook documenting their love from the beginning  – showing the first Valentines Day, first New Years Eve and even Tiffany’s gradutation from nursing school.  Each page sweetly told a story of their budding romance and even cited lyrics from their favorite songs.  As the book documented their journey thus far, somewhere in the middle of it, he asked her to spend the rest of her life as his wife;  asking her to continue filling the book with memories for as long as they lived.  And of course, she said yes.

The happiness these two exude is so contagious and reminds me why I love engagements: the hopes for tomorrow and the excitement of forever – love is a powerful emotion that I never tire of!  Thank you, Tiffany and Blake, for allowing me
to share in your engagement session.

And while this isn’t an award winning picture, I LOVE how cute it is that Tiff has to stand on her tip-toes to kiss Blake!

Thank you all for reading!

Posts of my favorite engagement session to be posted today!

Blog Tag

Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 9:05 am | In Personal | 3 Comments

I’ve been “tagged” both directly and indirectly now, so I thought I would join in on the fun and post my 8 facts about me.

1)   I eat Mexican food – A LOT!  I could eat Mexican food everyday for the rest of my life and I would be beyond happy!

2)  I’m addicted to Target.  I spend just to spend.  Must – be – stopped!

3)  I love fake eyelashes – I wear them proudly.

4)  I’m a serious purse fanatic, but more specifically, I have an addiction to anything Coach.  Now that I’ve found the outlet store – I’m out of control.

5)  I’m a blog-stalker; a serious blog-stalker!  I love reading blogs, I just need to get better at writing them.  hahaha

6)  I can’t watch scary movies – I get nightmares!  I have to keep it to the light and fluffy stuff.

7)  I love watching all the selling house shows on HGTV – and I watch them all day long.   I boycott them when I sell a house (don’t want to jinx anything), but totally turn them on and am glued to them once I’m out of the house buying/selling process.  Does this mean I enjoy other people’s misery?!?!

8)  I sneak Red Vines in my purse to eat whenever I want!

Ok, ~TAG~ you’re it.  Blog your fun facts and send me the link!  Can’t wait to see.  HAPPY SATURDAY!

Amazing

It is amazing how life flies past you.  I can’t count how many times people told me while I was pregnant to enjoy my babies because they would grow up way too fast; little did I know (how could I?) that it was more the truth than anything I’ve ever heard!  Look at my baby girl – my first baby – my little mini-me: she’s in first grade!  She’s no longer a baby and she enjoys all of the things that I remember loving – except, for some reason, I remember being sooo much older!  :)   There are no words to describe how much I adore this little girl!

I haven’t had time to go through all of the fun photos I took, but here are just a couple.   I have some fun ones of Natalie and Lauren to post later.

Tomorrow we wake up at the crack of dawn to head out for our whitewater rafting trip!!  I can’t wait – it’s been way too long.  Whoo hooo…..

Here is the crazy street performer down on the wharf.   I was tempted to take up fire-tossing when I saw how much money he made in tips, but then reality struck and I realized that I’m not crazy, so that blows that idea…… I guess I’m stuck trying to earn a honest living! :)

Here is the sweet Dana Andreasson of orangecatphoto.com and her husband. Watching how she lit up when he walked into our workshop made my heart melt! Too sweet!

San Francisco

Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 10:43 pm | In Personal, Photography | 1 Comment

I’m back from San Francisco- tired, but here.  The One Day/Two Ways workshop hosted by Susan Stripling (www.susanstripling.com) and Nate Kaiser (www.theimageisfound.com) was AWESOME!  I had the added bonus of having fun roommates!  We spent Monday hanging out in San Francisco shopping and site seeing and we took Lauren down to the wharf to show her the street performers and the seals!  Tuesday was a jammed packed day at the workshop and Nate and Susan were beyond amazing.  They were so willing to share their insight and answer questions.  They were the most down to earth people and they both have fun personalities: the kind where you feel like you’ve known them forever and can joke with them about anything!  Growing up in my family, you learn that sarcasm is actually a talent that shouldn’t be wasted, and these two made me proud!!!  :)   (The stuff that came out of little Susan’s mouth!!! – haha)  The other workshop attendees were great and I was surprised at how well everyone got along.  The trip far exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to start implementing all that I learned.   If you have the opportunity to sign up for one of their shootshops, I can’t recommend it enough!

On a business note, the past two weeks have been a whirlwind – I’m here for one more day before leaving for my waterwater rafting trip.  But then I’ll be back working on photos Monday and scheduling appointments.  If you need me before then, please email because I will still be checking my email while I’m gone.

Here are some pictures from the trip that Lauren took.  You can also check out the fun picture Nate did of me (and our workshop) on his blog: www.theblogisfound.com and also on Lauren’s blog: www.laurenclarkphoto.squarespace.com  I’ll post my pictures tonight.

Here’s Lauren, Natalie and I all showing our Shootsacs.

One Day/Two Ways

Monday, August 6, 2007 at 12:36 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I know that I’ve been MIA from my blog.  I had a wonderful trip to La Jolla and El Cajon last week for Tiffany and Blake’s engagment pictures and the McDowell family photos.  This weekend, I was in Clearlake and in a few short hours I begin my long anticipated trip to the One Day/Two Ways workshop in San Francisco (am I still awake?).  Thank you for your patience as I finish these trips - ALL proofs and orders currently pending will be completed next week!  I will be gone until Thursday, but will still be available via email and phone, so don’t hesitate to contact me.

Today, I’ll be meeting up with my new roommates, Natalie Moser (www.nataliemoser.com) and Lauren Clark (www.laurenclarkphoto.squarespace.com).  Hopefully we’ll be able to find some fun things around the City to occupy our time!!  ;)    Can’t wait – the possibilities are endless!!!

Tuesday, (drum roll……..) is my workshop!!!!!!    I’ll be attending the One Day/Two Ways Workshop with the amazing Nate Kaiser from The Image is Found (www.theimageisfound.com) and the uber-cool Susan Stripling (www.susanstripling.com).  I can’t wait to meet and learn from these two fantastic artists!  The excitement is overwhelming… and from the rounds of emails going around, it seems like I’ll be in great company with all of the other talented photographers too!!  I can’t wait to make new friends and post all of our fun shots from our excersions in The City!

I’ll try to post from the hotel, so keep checking in for new posts!!!!
