Hurry! Seats are limited. After WPPI in Vegas – come shoot with us!!!
Trash the Dress and Don’t Box Us In are Leavin’ Las Vegas on the 20th March 2008 and want you to join them!
Whose Bright Idea is This Anyway?
Over the past year TTD & DBUI have committed themselves to advancing creative & artistic photography and the two teams decided it was time to put their ideas into practice on a larger scale and in March they are joining forces in a practical, hands-on approach during their shoot-shop at the Red Rock Canyon.Teaming up during the shoot-shop will be the TTD’s very own and hugely talented, Mark Eric (markeric.net), as well as the very skilled and lovable Jason Domingues (dominguesphotography.com), Ms Tana Huffman (tanahuffman.com), organizer extraordinaire, and little miss Brit chick, Sofie Louca from Amorphia Photography (amorphiaphotography.com). Leavin’ Las Vegas also boasts some incredibly talented guest photographers that have been invited along for the ride – the one and only, John Michael Cooper (altf.com), Mike Fulton from renowned Tri Coast Photography (tricoastphoto.com) and the very lovely Anne Ruthmann (anneruthmann.com). And if you really have to talk shop, design whizz-kid, Ross from Flosites will be on-hand to discuss anything from websites to blogs to logos!
What’s the Plan, Stan?
Leavin’ Las Vegas departs The Strip by bus at 9am on 03/20/08 and the shoot will run until approximately 3pm. The models will be fitted out in nothing but Vera Wangs… ok, maybe they won’t be Vera Wangs but there will definitely be wedding dresses galore! You’ll spend the day in the impressive Nevada desert, shooting beautiful models with some fun and funky themes. Lunch will be provided and we guarantee you a great day of shooting! And it doesn’t end there… we’re also going to have some great giveaways up for grabs from our sponsors and good friends at Flosites (flosites.com)
*OSP members get a discount, so be sure to indicate that when you register*
If you have any questions, please let me know. Hope to see you there!
Leavin Las Vegas
Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 7:11 pm | In Photography | 2 CommentsTalk about a build up – we keep promising more info, but its coming! We promise! If you are going to WPPI in March, make plans to stick around for Thursday, March 20th. Trash the Dress and Don’t Box Us In are collaborating on a shooting workshop in the Red Rock Canyons on the last day of WPPI. Sofie from Amorphia photography is flying in from The UK and will be there along with John Michael Cooper, Jason Domingues, and Mark Eric. We will have theme shoots, hot models and funky props and wardrobes. I just happen to be a lucky helper, but the talent there will be amazing – you don’t want to miss!
We may even do a night shoot in Vegas – I mean, what good is a bridal shoot in Vegas without a few “goin’ to a Chapel”…. shots?!
Details soon. Keep checking in with the Trash the Dress site as well as Don’t Box Us In.
Ann
Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 12:14 am | In Photo sessions | 3 CommentsThere are some people you just click with, and Ann was one of them. She is fun and fiesty and very sweet all at the same time! My kind of gal! Here are just a few more of her solo, although I have a lot more to post with her and her husband, Garrett.
She is a professional wedding coordinator, check out her website: www.thegoodbridesmaids.com
Free wedding offer
Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:28 pm | In Photography | 1 CommentI’m happy to say that three weeks into the new year and the wedding schedule is starting to book up. 2008 is going to be a great year, and I’m looking forward to working with so many new couples. The thing that excites me the most is that the majority of the weddings are out of town and even out of state and I just love that. So that got me thinking – I want to begin focusing more on destination weddings than I have been. So…. to accomplish this goal, I am offering two free destination weddings. How it works…
If you are planning a destination wedding – or if you know of anyone who is – this offer is for you!
What you have to do:
Purchase 2 round trip flights from Sacramento or San Francisco and 2 nights in a hotel where the guests are staying for the wedding.
What you get:
2 photographers for full wedding coverage and your images on a high-resolution file for your printing pleasure.
If you are interested, please contact me at tana@tanahuffman.com or leave a comment.
Why the construction?
Monday, January 14, 2008 at 12:37 pm | In Photography | Leave a CommentAs most of you know, my wedding website has been under construction and I’ve had a great deal of questions about what is going on. HTML gremlins have messed up my coding, so I’m starting from scratch, re-doing everything and it has been a bit of a technology nightmare. With the holidays, I had to put it on the backburner for a little bit so that I could get caught up on client sessions and orders (and NOT throw the computer through the window!). But with a new wedding season on the horizon, and some FANTASTIC photos to showcase, I’ll be working on it this week, with a new re-launch set for this weekend. Whoo hoo!! So please, check back this weekend to see the new wedding website!
~~For inquiring brides, please feel free to contact me directly and I will be happy to talk with you and send you samples of my portfolio. Thank you for your patience!! I hope it will be worth the wait. ~~~
Ann & Garrett
Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm | In Photo sessions | 4 CommentsI just loved these two. Look at how fun this pic is…. I really wanted a vintage feel for this shoot, which I thought would go perfectly with this run-down motel, but it just really came together when Ann actually had the Life magazine of Jackie Kennedy’s marriage! Talk about a perfect vintage prop for a perfect vintage shoot! Lots more tomorrow – (I have so many of Ann and Garrett that I could fill up a website!)
Here are just a few others.
